DHL eCommerce to acquire Baltic parcel carrier Venipak

DHL eCommerce has agreed to acquire Venipak, a leading parcel carrier operating across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, in a move to bolster its last-mile and cross-border e-commerce capabilities in the Baltic region. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Venipak, founded in 2004, provides parcel delivery, returns and fulfillment services for e-tailers and SMEs and has grown its cross-border flows into Western Europe. DHL said the acquisition will strengthen local delivery density, improve service levels for regional e-commerce, and expand cross-border options for its pan-European customers.

DHL plans a phased integration that will retain Venipak’s local teams and customer-facing services while migrating selected systems and expanding tracking and fulfillment features. The companies said customers should experience minimal disruption during the transition.

The deal underscores continuing consolidation in last-mile logistics across Eastern Europe as carriers race to capture rising online volumes. Rival networks such as DPDgroup and GLS have been investing heavily in the region, and industry observers expect competition and regulatory scrutiny to focus on route-level impacts and service choice for shippers.

The transaction remains subject to customary EU regulatory approvals. If completed, the acquisition would give DHL eCommerce a stronger foothold in the Baltics and broader cross-border reach for e-tailers shipping into and out of the region.
